Cycle #1 – Beneficiaries

Drafting Lone Soldiers lack many basic items needed before they draft; some basic and some more expensive. Through Tzevet Mikey, our pre-draft preparation program, we observed over the years that almost all pre-draftees are missing watches, a basic yet critical and expensive tool for success in the IDF.

More often than not, pre-draftees lack the funds to purchase a new watch and are left without this integral device. Those who do have the funds often over-pay for watches due to their lack of Hebrew and their high motivation to draft prepared, literally, at any cost.

This Lone Soldier Empowerment Fund program has finished the first cycle of this project, successfully subsidizing watches for 30 pre-draft and currently serving, and reserve duty Lone Soldiers.

As we look to continue filling the currently existing gap in the pre-draft sector, we are currently raising funds for cycle #2 of the Watches For Warriors project. All funds raised for this effort will be reinvested in the program in order to purchase additional watches, just like we did in cycle #1, in which we raised 1,500₪ that will be allocated towards cycle #2.
